Industry Professional Package
The Industry Professional package provides a comprehensive package for users predominately involved with noise control for industrial developments. The Industry Professional Package offers a compilation of modules enabling the engineer to tackle all problems for industrial noise with the highest efficiency.
The package includes:
SoundPLAN Acoustics Complete
This comprehensive package includes all available acoustics modules with or without Aircraft Noise Propagation & Statistics, providing the user with a powerful tool with which to carry out noise modelling. SoundPLAN Acoustics Complete is offered at a significantly reduced purchase price and includes first year free software maintenance. Maintenance costs for subsequent years are capped and provide further savings. All newly developed modules are provided for free to licenses inside the first year of ownership and for subsequent years where software maintenance is held.

Road Noise Propagation
This module consists of two main components, the emission calculation and the propagation calculation. The emission calculation is performed internally within the Geographical database, where vehicle flow, speed, composition and road surface are defined. The propagation calculation is performed inside the calculation core of SoundPLAN.
The performance of this module is further enhanced when used in conjunction with Wall Design to design and optimise the location and extent of noise barriers.
Implemented calculation standards include CoRTN, CoRTN Lden, NORD 2000 and RLS-

This module assists with the selection of windows for a building to enable a noise limit outside a building to be achieved at a specified receiver.
The module is a simple application in a spreadsheet format. If the noise levels at a specified receiver exceed the user defined limit, suggestions are made about noise control for the windows in the building taking into account the size of the façade, the room’s usage as well as the type and size of the window.
This interface enables the user to import Traffic Noise Model (TNM) version 2.5 models into the SoundPLAN Geo-
This module allows 3D viewing of a model including the digitised ground and plotting of results for Grid Noise Map, Façade Noise Map, Meshed Noise Map and Grid Cross-
Enables the user to assign allowable noise emission levels to designated industrial areas. The aim is to maximise the noise allocation of each area without infringing upon the usage rights of neighbouring noise emitters.
Aircraft Noise Propagation/Statistics
Simulations are in accordance with various European aircraft noise regulations. The user can input the model, calculate grid noise maps, and combine the results from aircraft noise with the noise from ground-

Indoor Factory Noise
This module enables the calculation of industrial noise sources (point, line and area) inside a room or factory. The module enables the user to predict the sound pressure level at specific locations within a room, or produce noise contours for a given floor plan. The characterisation of a room can also be determined using the Sound Decay Curve function.
The module has been further refined and now features faster calculation speeds when used with SoundPLAN 7, courtesy of hyper-

The implemented calculation standard is VDI 3760.
Industry Noise Propagation
This module integrates the concepts of internal and external industrial noise propagation into one comprehensive package. Interior noise levels can either be defined by the user or calculated according to German Standard VDI 3760. The exterior noise emission is then calculated based on the transmission loss through the Industrial Building façade elements. The superposition of various façade elements onto any base building façade is easily accomplished.
Noise sources are defined as point, line or area sources in broadband, octave or 1/3 octave spectra, either by the user or from the extensive noise source database built into SoundPLAN.
Implemented calculation standards include ISO9613-
This module allows the user to optimise the configuration of barriers and berms used to control noise. A pre-
The optimisation can be based on either the surface area of the wall or cost of construction, in addition to a target noise level. The module call also perform a cost-
Facade Noise Map
This module enables the incident sound level to be calculated along the façades of buildings. The number of receivers per façade and the façades selected are user-
Grid Noise Map
This module calculates the sound pressure level over an equidistant grid and graphically presents the output as either grid data or as noise contour lines. The resultant noise contours or values can be easily exported to ASCII, DXF, ESRI or SoundPLAN Geofile formats.
The noise contour map output allows the user to visualise specific conditions or the differences between two scenarios using the Difference Map. The Grid Operation function allows corrections to be added/subtracted from grid noise map calculations.
Where the user has access to both the Grid Noise Map and the Façade Noise Map modules, a third noise map, the Meshed Map, automatically becomes available. The Meshed Map varies the density of grids depending on location/density of objects and is ideal where a noise model includes open space and built-
This module enables the operator to use advanced graphic features to customise the overall appearance of graphical output. It enhances the SoundPLAN Graphics module by adding features such as multiple maps on the graphic sheet, overlay of noise contours on bitmap images, labelling of contour lines, additional symbols and text. The Cartography module makes it possible to generate contour maps from user measured data imported in ASCII format.
This module allows the distribution of large, time consuming calculations to connected computers within a Windows TCP/IP based network. Time consuming calculations such as Grid Noise Maps, City Noise Maps and Façade Noise Maps can be completed in a fraction of the time when compared to using only one computer.
The advantage of this module is that only the host computer requires the DC license. All networked computers must have the same version of SoundPLAN installed, including software updates.
Rail Noise Propagation
This module consists of two main components, the emission calculation and the propagation calculation. The emission calculation is performed internally within the Geographical database, where train quantity, length, speed, and calibration correction are defined. The propagation calculation is performed inside the calculation core of SoundPLAN.
Implemented calculation standards include CRN, Nord 2000, Kilde Report 130 and SCHALL-
The rail noise emission for the entire German rail network was calculated using the calculation core from SoundPLAN 7.0.
MISKAM© is especially well suited for inner city situations where buildings cause complex wind flow conditions. It calculates pollutants from industry and traffic sources very exactly.
AUSTAL2000 is based is described in guideline VDI 3945 Part 3.2
This module enables the user to assess and document noise levels inside a building. Noise levels incident upon the façade can be calculated inside SoundPLAN or alternatively, user defined noise levels can also be manually entered, meaning that the module can be used independently from the rest of SoundPLAN. The transmission loss through façade elements is defined and used in the calculation of internal noise levels. The data are organized in buildings, floors, apartments and rooms. The scope of this module includes assessing indoor noise levels in a room on a straight façade with one incident noise path to assessing corner rooms exposed to two directions of noise. The module also manages adminstrative tasks such as keeping track of apartment owners and building owners through to knowing the geometry of the apartment. Scanned plans help identify the location of the assessed room.
The program system AUSTAL2000 calculates the atmospheric dispersion of substances and odorants. AUSTAL2000 is the official reference implementation of the instructions given in Annex 3 of the German Regulation on Air Quality Control (TA Luft). The model on which AUSTAL2000 is based is described in guideline VDI 3945 Part 3.2

Noise Mapping Toolbox (With Tiling)
Very large projects can be divided up into tiled projects in order to keep loading times, calculation and graphic operations as short as possible. The toolbox also enables annoyance analysis and conflict analysis to be performed.
3D Graphics Animation
Expert System Industry Noise
This module combines all results, propagation and source information into one comprehensive system. It ranks sources in terms of impact at each receiver and compares cost versus performance for each item, enabling the user to find the best practicable noise mitigation solution.
The Graphics Package groups together some of the most popular graphics modules at a discounted price compared to the cost of the individual modules. The package is intended to be used alongside Noise Propagation modules. The package includes Façade Noise Map, Cartography, Grid Cross Section Map, 3D Graphics and Animation modules.
